Organisational Ecology

Designing organisations that can adapt, evolve and last.

Organisations are living systems. They exist within ecosystems shaped by policies, technologies, funding models, partnerships, communities and constantly changing expectations. When the environment changes, organisations cannot simply continue as before. But adaptation is not only a matter of developing a new strategy or reorganising a structure. It requires understanding the relationships, dependencies and dynamics that shape the organisation as a whole.

Organisations rarely transform through a single intervention. Their capacity to evolve depends on the relationships between strategy, governance, people, knowledge and purpose.

Organisational Ecology is a six-month transformation programme designed to help organisations understand these dynamics and strengthen their capacity to perform, adapt and evolve. Together, we explore what is working, where energy is being lost, what is emerging, and what conditions need to change for the organisation to evolve.

Organisational Ecology is SEPO's signature approach to organisational transformation.

It helps organisations understand the ecosystems in which they operate, identify the forces shaping their evolution and develop the capacity to adapt without losing what makes them unique. The programme can address questions of strategy, governance, organisational design, positioning or sustainability.  But it always starts with understanding the system before deciding how to change it.

Best suited for: organisations facing a significant transition, repositioning or need for greater strategic adaptability, a major transition or transformation, a changing policy, technological or funding environment, etc.

Format: six-month programme, tailored to the organisation.

Investment: from €12,500

A strategic journey to understand where you are, recognise what is changing and build the conditions for what comes next.

Entre les lignes

What if your next management programme started with a story?

Power, conflict, uncertainty, cooperation, diversity, trust, transformation: the major tensions managers face today have also, for centuries, been at the heart of storytelling.

Entre les lignes is an original programme that turns literature into a laboratory for management. Through literary works, characters and fictional situations, participants step back, shift their perspective and explore human relationships and collective dynamics in new ways.

Reflection is then extended through experimentation: making decisions without a leader, learning to listen more deeply, rotating roles, bringing absent voices into the conversation or questioning our own relationship with control.

The ambition is not to offer yet another management method, but to develop a management culture grounded in listening, trust, dialogue and the ability to adapt to different situations.

Tailored to each organisation and delivered over several months, the programme combines talks, literary workshops, practical experiments and a community of practice — turning learning into a collective and lasting experience.

Entre les lignes is not about finding the right interpretation.

It is about creating the space to explore complexity, encounter different perspectives and develop a more conscious relationship with the way we lead, decide and work together.

Format and investment: tailored to the scope and duration of the engagement.
